Chelsea have reportedly made a significant bid for Bayern Munich’s David Alaba despite rumours that he is heading to Real Madrid.
Blues are apparently in the market for a commanding centre-back according to Matt Law and there would be few with a better profile than Alaba.
According to Kicker , Bayern had received ‘good offers’ from a variety of clubs for the 28-year-old that included Chelsea. PSG and Manchester United were among the other names, yet it was Madrid who appeared favourites for Alaba’s signature.
Pep Guardiola whilst in charge of Bayern described him as ‘our God’ ( Sport1 ).
The 28-year-old has played over 400 games for the Bavarian champions, winning nine league titles and two Champions Leagues. He’s missed just four fixtures this season as Hansi Flick still relies on him heavily to help Bayern defend their crown.
