Description

We are looking for a responsible Lab Assistant to carry out sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analysing in cooperation with the rest of the lab team. The successful candidate will have experience in a laboratory environment and accuracy in order to extract reliable and valid results.


Chemical analysis by wet method, oil analysis, coal analysis and water analysis.


Chemical tests as indicated in the Quality control testing/sampling plan.

Reagents preparation and standardization.

Oil and other fuel analysis

(4) Monitor sample collection and preparation

On site testing of each truck of oil for SG etc before unloading and batch testing for water.

Requirements

OND (Lab Technology) + 5 years’ experience

Good communication skills

Clinker Terminal HSE Officer - Cement Industry

OVERVIEW

APPLICATION

Description

Ensure that the DCP HSSE policy is understood and implemented at clinker terminal.

Support clinker terminal operations, Gypsum and Pet coke loading and offloading with the implementation of HSE initiatives, HSE management system, and HSE programs.

Conduct safety training and awareness programs in line with the DCP annual HSE goals and targets.

Maintain all documents and records as per Nigerian Federal Laws relating to HSE about port operations.

Inspection of plant and equipment is carried out for maintain safe workplace.

Ensure that environmental management initiatives, programs, procedures, trainings, work practices and controls are implemented and monitored for effectiveness and continual improvement.

Manage regulatory compliance of GDNL operations (BPE/NPA, NIMASA, LASEPA, LAWMA and FME as applicable).

Conduct various HSE trainings and awareness programs including induction training for shop floor employees/ drivers.

Conduct regular toolbox talk with shop floor employees/ drivers.

Inspect ongoing work to ensure compliance of PTW system.

Assist plant managers in conducting JSA as and when required.

Conduct survey to check quality and adequacy of these, but are not limited to the following:

Implement annual HSE improvement plan and monitor its implementation.

Maintain and ensure relevant documents/ records for safety are properly maintained.

Lifting equipment

Pressure vessels

Portable electrical equipment

PPEs

Scaffoldings

Elevated Work

Attend all shutdowns and major breakdowns from HSE point of view.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any Environmental Science or Mechanical Engineering.

Professional qualification as H&E Practitioner by a national or internationally recognised organisation.

Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience.

Very good knowledge/ experience on Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and Control.

Very good knowledge on Fire Safety Management.

Good understanding of PTW system and RCA.

Understanding of Nigerian Federal Laws related to H&S.

Ability to operate Microsoft Office programs.

Good knowledge of H&S audits and inspection.

Understanding of typical plant operations/ dynamics.

Experience in Port HSE or other heavy industry.

An understanding of HSE Management Systems.

Initiatives and drive.

Good analytical and problem solving ability.

Execution skills.

Team Player.

Communication skills.

Proficient in use of Microsoft tools (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

Interpersonal and organisational skills.

Verbal and written proficiency in Yoruba Language is an added advantage.

Description

Executing inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock holding and maximizes stock system with proper documentation responsible for working with procurement on ,goods inwards and issues to ensure necessary functions are carried out correctly.


Develop the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits

Manage and maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations

Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks

Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials to maximize availability of working capital

Ensure that goods inward / stock control department is well organized and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business.

Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure.

Liaising with procurement department to ensure any materials that are late or holding up production for whatever reason are chased and followed up until received.

Requirements

BSc or HND in Business Management with minimum of 6 – 9 years working experience


Professional certification in warehousing and material management


Ability to work and deliver under minimal or no supervision

Junior Survellance Officer - Cement Industry

Description

To ensure effective monitoring of security using existing CCTV system in the plant location.

Ability to identify and vet potential threats.

Alertness at all time and consciously look for changes/unusual happenings in and nearby the plant location.

Completion of task if any is pending while taking over from the previous shift.

Any change in the usual layout of things / new construction should be questioned and clarified.

To Monitor the output of various CCTV camera 24 x 7 x 365 and raise alerts / escalate if any security breach / or potential security breach is noticed

To check operational status of all cameras and report to the supervisor if any found not functional.

Check the output of the cameras on the Monitor carefully and look for any untoward/suspicious movement, any breaks/gaps in the perimeter fencing/wall etc.

Keeping record of any entry/exit of the persons entering the control room.

To ensure cctv footage recording back up is available for 30 days, check periodically that the recording of all cameras is happening and report if it is not recording to the line manager.

Check all cameras and monitors are operational, if not, raise an incident and register/log and report to the line manager for necessary repairs

To maintain necessary logs/incidents identified if any

Requirements

Bachelor degree or HND from a reputable institution.

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science is an added advantage.

Good communication skills

Ability to write with prompt dissemination of information from the surveillance monitor screen.

Experience in cctv operation or maintenance as an added advantage
