MESSAGE TOPIC: THE SECRET OF REST

We live in a world of very serious pressure, tension and anxiety
There is an explosion of unrest, terrorism, vices and very terrible diseases, especially as we approach the end of the age.
In a world with so much tension and pressure, how do we experience rest?
HOW DOES REST COME?
1. Rest comes from casting our cares and burdens upon God (Matt. 11:28; 1Pet. 5:7)
Every time you decide to carry your burden, load or concern, you have sacrificed your rest
When you release the burden, you establish your rest.
There is an easy way to know whether you are carrying the burden or if God is carrying the
burden, it is determined by your level of rest.
2. Rest comes from listening to, learning and hearing from God. (Matt. 11:29)
One dream or revelation from God can calm your fear and establish you in rest
3. Rest comes from the Company and Presence of God (Ps. 23:4; Ex. 33:14)
When you carry the Presence of God, rest is natural.
The Presence of God is a Supplier of rest
You can’t be restless, tensed up or stressed out where God is.
4. Rest comes from the knowledge of the previous acts of God (Acts 12:6; 5:19-20; 1Sam. 17:37; Judg. 5:11)
When you know what God has done before, you are at rest in the present situation.
If God delivered you 100times before in the past, He is the same God and what He did before He can do it again
Your open doors and breakthroughs come from rehearsing the previous acts of God in your life and that of others (Judg. 5:11)
5. Rest comes from faith in God (Heb. 4:11; Job 14:14)
Nothing causes stress like doubt
People of faith have so much rest
CONCLUSION
Rest is a product of righteousness (Prov. 28:1; Isa. 48:22)
The easiest way to see peace and rest is a clear conscience; the clearness/clarity of your conscience determines the restfulness or stability of your soul
PRAYERS
Father, I ask for Your visitation on my life and destiny, this morning. Give me a touch and a visitation, in Jesus’ Name – Prov. 23:18; Gen. 201:1
Father, let Your Word come with power to heal and deliver, in Jesus’ Name. - Ps. 107:20
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
- Every grave where the devil has kept you and your loved ones, you are out of that grave now!
- You shall fulfil your days!
- Every enemy deposit in your body, today is its end in Jesus’ Name!
- Every burden on your life, family, children and loved ones is lifted by the fire of the Holy Ghost!
- A turnaround is coming for your life and destiny!
- Every evil load packaged into your body is gone forever!
- Anything negative that followed you from the womb of your mother is flushed out in Jesus’ Name!
- The load that satan has put on your head, on your life and destiny, it returns back to hell now!
