Sound Sultan Biography
Sound Sultan whose real name is Olanrewaju Fasasi, is award winning Nigerian singer and songwriter born on 27 November, 1976.
Sound Sultan was born in Jos, Plateau state and the fourth out of six children of his parents; Fasasi Liadi Alarape (father) and Fasasi Adeyinka Ajarat (mother).

Sound Sultan went to Stepping Stone Nursery and Primary school and Federal Government College Ogbomosho fr his primary and secondary education respectively.
He obtained a degree in geography and regional planning at the Lagos State University.
Sound Sultan Career
Started showing interest in music in 1991 where he started miming at school parties and writing his own songs after being influenced by his elder brother, Baba Dee who is also a musician.
He began to learn how to play the guitar and came through professionally some years later in the 90’s.
Sound Sultan released his first single “Jagbajantis” in 2000 which became an instant hit and was then signed to Kennis Music record label.
He released four albums under the label before his contract expired in 2007 and partnered with Baba Dee to start Naija Ninjas, a parent organization for a record label, production outfit and clothing line.
He started off his career as a rapper but soon delved into Afrobeat, R&B and Nigerian fuji music.

He had released numerous albums under Naija Ninjas and had signed talented artists including Karma Da Rapper, Young GreyC, Shawn and Blacka.
Prior to his music career, Sound Sultan used to play Basketball for the Dodan Warriors. He later partnered with investors and purchased shares in the Lagos Islanders basketball team in 2015.
He became a facilitator in the African Basketball League and was a special guest at the first NBA African Games.
As if it wasn’t enough, his love for the sport made him joined forces with the organizers of the Continental Basketball League to became a team owner of Lagos City Stars and a facilitator of the team tournament.
Sound Sultan also got involve in acting in the comedy movie “Head Gone” as produced by him and directed by Dare Fasasi. The movie features the likes of tuface Idibia, Akpororo, Basketmouth, Pappy Luwe, Basorge Tarish and host of others.
Ever since Sound Sultan rose to fame, he has dropping hits upon hits from Natural something to Orobo and Kokose featuring Wizkid.

Sound Sultan got married to his sweet heart, Chichi Morah on October 1, 2009 and their union is blessed with three children. (two sons and a daughter).
His wife who is from the Igbo tribe, changed her name to Farida Fasasi.
